I’m pretty anxious that my ideal venue is so much, for a ceremony that will last less than an hour. Our dinner will not be held in the space and have no other activities planned, it’s just really cool and has good lighting and a roof in case of rain. How much did you spend? FYI its in a botanical garden and cost $1200

@salejolie: Well we did a package and it included the ceremony location if you booked their package.
For $1700 we got:
2 nights stay in king suite overlooking lake
2 mornings of breakfasts for two
custom wedding cake
custom bouquet and boutonniere
champange with dinner
three course wedding dinner
a wedding planner to do it all for us
free use of the patio overlooking the lake and mountains (with a backup rain location in the lodge)
If we were just staying elsewhere and wanted to use the patio, I think it would have been $500 alone.

@sienna76: That’s a really awesome deal. Where in bc did you elope?

@salejolie: We went to Emerald Lake Lodge in Yoho National Park just outside of Field, BC. It was about 1 hour from Banff, AB.

Ours was free. However, we had to put down $100 to hold the date and we decided to donate it to the venue.

We eloped at the city hall. They requested a donation (it included the space as well as having an officiant – the mayor). The donation is used to buy food for the pantry, so we donated a bit more b/c that was important to us and still very inexpensive.
