- Wedding: July 2011
This is my first time posting. After consideration, my fiancé and I decided to elope. I can not wrap my head around a vision for a wedding, b/c I‘m the worse at planning anything for myself w/out considering everyone else, but I can picture a beautiful elopement with our immediate family, which is really more like a small wedding of 15 people…. so, that’s what we’re going for.
So here is where I need help: where to hold the elopement and the proper etiquette for breaking it to (explaining it to) close friends?
We would like to have the wedding somewhere near nature (preferably a lake or mountains) and we’ve been looking at Seattle, but realized that it might make more sense to keep it closer to the east coast where our families live. I have not been able to find a really nice place on the east coast…though, I’m hopeful. Any ideas?
As for the friends: I have three really close girlfriends. One would more than understand; the others, I’m not so sure. Should I tell them before or after?
Thanks for the help.
