I love Fort Collins, I’d do a night there over a night in Denver. They have a bunch of great local restaurants and an insane number of craft breweries (Odell Brewery is mine and my husband’s favorite, great beer and just a great place to hang out). And it’s just got an overall great vibe.

I lived in Boulder until recently. One of my favorite spots that we would stay when doing a stay-cation or celebration was Chautauqua park at the base of the foothills. They have really cute, clean cabins that are charming and romantic and have direct access to hiking trails. They also have a nice restaurant on site as well as a little general store with a bakery, ice cream, barista, and gifty things. It’s close to the Pearl street mall for walking around as well.

Oh and if you like beer, Avery brewing co is my absolute favorite and their restaurant is DELICIOUS.

Estes Park is a beautiful town at the entrance of RMNP.  I would reccomend staying there over Fort Collins, but I lived in Fort Collins for a while so maybe I’m just over that. Estes Park also has Lily Lake which is really pretty and I know a lot of people have weddings there.

If you want to go to the mountains, Breckenridge is also a very cute, picturesque mountain town with an adorable Main Street! It’s about an hour and a half from Denver.  There’s a spot called Sapphire Point that a lot of locals get married at, it overlooks the lake and the mountain range.  This is not our best photo, but shows the scenery there well:

I second Odell Brewery!!

OP – my must go breakfast spots in Colorado are the Snooze places. I’m obsessed! There are a few but my favorite is the one in Union Station.

My husband and I halted the plans on our big wedding and eloped in Estes Park this past February.. right at Lily Lake actually! It was snow covered and beautiful! And so very stress free and easy! I have a friend who married in the same place I did  few years ago in the summer. Her wedding was just as amazing!

Plenty of hotels/motels/cabins in the area for an unforgettable wedding night as well *smile*

Heres a pic or 4 from our day.

PS – We found a package deal for a minister and all the goodies (photographer, cake, flowers etc.  marrymeincolorado.com

My fiancé and I are eloping in RMNP also in April at 3m Curve. We’re actually making it a wedding weekend with family and staying in Estes Park at a cabin. We’re having dinner at the Stanley Hotel to celebrate.

I personally love the charm of Estes Park and find it so romantic.
