When I was about 6 I went to a carnival and there was a lucky dip. It didn’t have a price on it so I thought it was free and took something. I realised after it wasn’t free and felt guilty and gave the lucky dip to my mum (it was a weird china turtle) she didn’t realise what had happened and put it on the fireplace. I later couldn’t live with the guilt that I had stolen and threw it away. Its one of those memories that pops in my brain late at night and makes me feel like a horrible person. In the grand scheme of bad things children have done it wasn’t the worst but I felt horrible for years until I confessed to my mother.
