Well I had quite the panic. I thought that one of the diamonds in my ring had dropped into it’s setting. I was really pissed and took it to be fixed. Anyway, the next day I go to pick it up and was told the ring was OK – nothing had moved, but maybe in future when cooking, or making a salad, I may consider taking it off. A tomato seed had jammed behind the setting and over a few days collected dust etc which led to the ring to look like it was missing a stone. Awkward Moment… Oops!

ROLMFAO lol that is something I would do for sure

HA HA HA That is so funny. Please put your ring in the exact same place if you take it off. You are less likely to lose it.

ahahah! thanks for the chuckles… good one!

LOL! I wasn’t expecting that.

Better to find out it was a tomato seed than to actually have something wrong.
Do you have a ring dish? Mine lives next to the microwave (far away from the sink, just in case), so if I go into the kitchen to do anything, bam, there go my rings.

I almost laughed out loud at that one! (:
I second using a ring dish (or a ring box if you have a nosy cat who likes to jump on counters) when you take your ring off. It’s a lot less stressful.

Haha, well I guess of all new you could have heard about your ring at that point, tomato seed was pretty good!

That’s something I’m nervous about! I haven’t gotten my ering yet, but I am SO bad about taking my promise ring off when I cook. I usually reailze halfway through molding hamburgers or something lol. Will have to get a ring dish I suppose..

Hahaha that’s hilarious. That reminds me of the time I was looking really closely at my engagement ring and I thought I saw bubbles in the stone. I started freaking out thinking that maybe there was something wrong with my stone. So I brought it to the jeweler and he took it to the back and cleaned it. When he came back out, he asked me if I ate something sugary or sticky. LOL it was just some sugary substance under the stone but the cleaning got it out.

He actually kept the grubby seed for me – Oh the shame!! He’s a lovely old guy and he didn’t even charge me for it. When I do remember to take my rings off I usually put them right in front of the TV – I mean I do spend half my life staring at the damn thing – so I guessed it was the best place to put them.

Haha, oops. Sounds like something I would do. Glad it was just a seed 😉

Too bad you didn’t take a magnifier to the ring before you went to the jewelry store… although the jewelry store employees probably needed a good laugh…
