Ah, I remember that guy and wouldn’t go back to him if you paid me!  There are plenty of places that can resize your ring….if this guy is still acting like a tool (which apparently he is), think about canceling your appt and going elsewhere!

That sucks. I’m totally like that…knowing me, I’d ask someone else to just drop it off for me. I get so self-conscious in those situations. It may seem like you’ve made a total ass out of yourself, but ass or not you pay that jewelers bills. Not to mention, if you do this, chances are he’s run into plenty of others as well, so you won’t stand out in his mind too much.

Get sizing balls put on the bottom of the band. I have them on mine because I have a larger knuckle and a 1/4 size smaller wouldn’t have fit over my ring. It also helps when your fingets swell. Gives it a little room, but also keeps it from flinging off your finger! πŸ™‚

I’d go somewhere else!  Also, if you have that issue again (too big) consider getting a ring guard.  it’s a metal strip they put in your ring that brings it down a little bit in size; it worked wonders for keeping mine flying off.  I didn’t want to get it resized because even though I’m getting closer to my goal weight I know when I get pregnant eventually (if I’m lucky) I’ll swell up again so I might as well keep it at this size now.  Also I’m not at my goal weight yet lol

I dont think a quarter size should not make *that* big a difference, that it goes from flinging off on days to painful to remove..  Did they screw up the sizing and make it too small??

I agree with @pinkshoes I feel like 1/4 shouldn’t make that big of a difference from flying off to not being able to get it off!  My fingers swell on and off quite a bit and my ring will go from sometimes being able to spin around to being harder to get off, but I feel like you’d have to have some really intense swelling for 1/4 size to make that big of a difference!  Did they size you when you went in originally?  When I got sized, they said I was a 5, but I wanted to do a 5 1/4 just in case of swelling and they said the 1/4 size up should allow for my fingers to swell in the summer but that it wouldn’t make that big of a difference.  Have them measure you, have them measure the ring so you know what size they’re making it- after the originial mess up, I wouldn’t put anything past them!

In the future if it gets to loose, maybe just use those ring snuggies to keep it on in the winter!  The guy shouldn’t be acting so stupid about it, seriously dude?  you resize rings, and they need resized, get over it!

You should go somewhere they will treat you nice and be helpful! Don’t be embarrassed–ring resizing is a service you pay for and you should get what you want!
