I don’t have PCOS, but I have several friends who do. Have you ever tried waxing? I wax my brows and upper lip myself at home (well, I’ve moved on to sugaring – I bought a small kit at Ulta for under $20. Once I’d used it once, it had paid for itself and I’ve had it since this summer! With sugaring, you can re-use the strips. All you have to do is wash them). My only hesitantion with lasering is that it seems to work better if you’re lighter skinned with darker hair, and it works better for some people than others. A good friend of mine did it all over, and it worked well… but kept growing back. She’s doing electrolysis now, so that may be an option as well. Even waxing will keep you more hair free all day and is cheaper and less of a commitment than laser or electrolysis. I can say from my experience, once I started waxing (I also get brazilians but not trying that myself!), the hair started growing in finer. The suck is that you have to wait for it to grow OUT to wax it again.

I use the Panasonic Epiglide to remove hair on my upper lip and chin. http://shop.panasonic.com/shop/model/ES2045P   Check ebay or amazon for cheaper price.

For my eyebrows, I get threaded where the Indian lady uses sewing thread to remove to shape my eyebrows, and can also do the upper lip or any other facial parts of your body.  http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-thread-eyebrows

Hope this helps

Nair and Veet are not as nasty stinky as when you were a teen-sounds like that could be a good option for you.

They also have a Nair for bikini zone! I agree with someone else, it’s no where near as smelly and gross as a few years ago!

@JustMarried51912:  Thats a myth, I believe. Shaved hair looks thicker when it grows out as it was cut at a flat angle rather than developing naturally in the follicle to a tapered end.

I would wax anyway, though. It would get the roots out and you would be all good for at least a couple days.

I have PCOS.  So I understand the random hair popping up.  It’s frustrating.  I am actually looking into buying a Tria gun, because I’m tired of shaving and waxing.  For me, waxing doesn’t last any longer than shaving.  I’ve also heard in the long run waxing is worse for your skin.

I am really worried about missing something on my wedding day, because occasionally I’ll find a stray hair on my chin or one on my chest that I missed when I was showering….usually I find it when I’m at work.  Sometimes, I feel like I need to put a pair of tweezers in my bag!

I also have PCOS. Waxing really doesn’t hurt. I promise-or else I wouldn’t do it! 😉 I’m nervous about this for the wedding too but figure if I get waxed either Wednesday or Thursday there should be no issue Saurday

Good Luck!

I also have been recently diagnosed with PCOS and my facial hair looks like a guys horribly. I have to shave my chin everyday. I have tried the Nair and they do not work for me or last any longer than shaving or waxing 🙁 It really sucks because I think that it is all people see when they look at me. I might have to see what this  “Tria gun” is. I hope you are able to find something that works for you (let me know if you do!)
