I’m trying to emboss an image onto 80 lb paper, but when i apply the heat, the paper warps due to the heat! any suggestions on how to prevent that? the only solution that i can think of is to use some heavy books to hold down the 4 sides of my paper while i apply the heat to melt to embossing powder.. but i haven’t tried that yet.
Thanks for any help!

I experienced the same thing with my stardream-like cardstock, but I’ve found that pressing it afterwards fixes it up fine. Since mine are also being glued in a few spots, the pressing flat is just part of the process.
Flattening while embossing sounds complicated!

If the paper is warping, it is because you are getting it too hot, to fast. Paper has a moister content and when you get it hot really quick it shrinks, like when my Fiance does the laundry Hold the heat farther away and you will find a happy medium.
