Hi Everyone –
I love the idea of giving embroidered handkerchiefs as gifts to the wedding party and/or mothers of the bride and groom. Does anyone have suggestions or recommendations for good and reasonably priced online sites to order from?

For anything handmade I always try etsy.com first. Seller HollySew may have what you are looking for. In the past I have gone to a department store and bought boxed hankerchiefs and had them monogrammed at a local shop.

I used http://www.thelaceshop.com/ and was very pleased with the results. I asked them to embroider on a handkerchief which was not originally designated to the design and they were very happy to accomodate my request. They shipped quickly and the handkerchiefs were lovely!

Hi Laurel, I wanted to do the same thing for my bridesmaids, mom and FMIL! Here are a couple of other websites with good prices that I found doing my research. I haven’t ordered from them yet, so I can’t vouch for their quality or customer service. But Felicia’s Fancies did get good reviews from some brides on The Knot boards.

I purchased antique ones on eBay. I found that the modern ones were all machine embroidered, but the old antiques were done by hand. I searched for "G monogram handkerchief" and found several that were truly lovely, for very reasonable prices.

I was thinking of doing antique handkerchiefs for my bridesmaids and the MOB and MOG too. I love antiques and think old hand embroidered handkerchiefs are beautiful, but I’m concerned others might think it’s weird — like I’m giving them something old and used…..
If you’ve already given antique handkerchiefs, what was the reaction? Did people love them?
