@Belle_Amour:  I really need to take some new pictures of my ring (I feel like I’m always posting the same ones) … And I really need to take some that show just how sparkly it is because none of my pictures do it justice!

The only other shape I considered was an oval, but I loved emerald cut way too much to end up with anything else!

Asscher-cut solitaire here! I’m obsessed with the beautiful clarity of step-cuts. Here’s my ring…

Ladies, do you find that it’s really hard to keep step cuts clean?

@Belle_Amour:  I have a cushion cut yellow diamond. I will always oogle step cuts.

@Belle_Amour:  Thank you!  It’s interesting that you asked if it has a halo … You’re actually the first person to ask about that!  The answer is kind of.  It’s a Tacori, and I know their website described it as having one … But it’s not really a “typical” halo (at least not in my opinion).  The diamonds are super tiny around the center stone and don’t really add size or anything … Just sparkle!

This is what I think of when I think of a halo engagement ring (and I Googled halo emerald cut engagement rings for a good example because I’m a total nerd):

I was kind of surprised that you mentioned it because I never think of it as a halo!  Haha.

I have emerald cut love too, even though mine is a round brilliant 🙂

Here’s a 3.13 ct center emerald diamond I tried on (when I went to shop for wedding bands haha!).  It has tapered baguettes like my e-ring, so I was swooning!

I’ll play! Even though I may or may not have posted this before…. 🙂 It’s 1.5 ct.

@country chic: I can’t really say if it’s much harder to keep clean than other cuts because this is the only e-ring I’ve had, haha, but I clean it pretty regularly. I do sometimes notice little smudges and stuff on it between cleanings, which I think could be more noticeable because it’s so clear, if that makes sense. I’ll just buff it a little with my shirt or something. I don’t think it’s too difficult though!
