anggamba:  2.01 carats on a size 5 finger – good luck! I know how rare it is to see one of these puppies in real life 🙂

anggamba:  I am in the process of picking out an e-ring at Tiffanys, the SA there has been very helpful and the Emerald cut is the top of my list.  I asked her the same question as she sent me a list of all available ones in our budget and the Colour/Clarity varied and i didnt know which ones to go for.  She said with the Emerald she would recommend that you can go to an H colour with no issue and you wouldnt see any noticable difference in colour at all, she recommended i look at the slightly higher Clarity (VVS as opposed to VS) and lower the colourto get the best for my budget.

anggamba: The color is not nearly as important as clarity in a step cut. The inclusions are much more visible than in a brilliant cut. I wouldn’t go lower than VS1.

anggamba:  Thank you! The ratio is 1.39:1 – the preferred ratio is to get as close to 1.49:1 without going over 1.50:1 according to my fiance who picked out this rock and ring by himself and did tons of research. But ultimately it’s all preference. Out of all the Cs, I think clarity is the most important as emerald cut diamonds are very clear and do not hide any flaws/inclusions.
