Gorgeous!!!  If I could have 2 engagement rings (LOL) I would most definitely get an EC solitaire!

1peachybee :  pretty! I have an EC too, although not a solitaire. They’re just so elegant in my opinion (well…when they are clean. I will admit the extra cleaning effort is a bit of a pain, but totally worth it!)

Gorgeous! I’m having a EC vs oval dilemma myself (though I probably won’t get to pick). If you dont mind me asking, what is the carat weight of that and whats your finger size? It looks huge on your finger!

1peachybee :  it’s not any different, you just have to do it more often or it can look a little dull. I just use dish soap and a little toothbrush on mine.

1peachybee :  just an FYI pears and ovals face up larger, while emeralds face up smaller because most of the weight is underneath, hence why there’s all the step cuts, it’s deep. I was originally torn between pear and emerald, and our jeweler definitely explained that pears/ovals are a better deal because you can pay less and get a smaller stone and it still looks large. I ultimately went with the emerald though. Congrats on picking your ring
