This is the setting we decided on. This center stone is a 2 carat weight emerald cut CZ. We will be replacing with a 2 ct. diamond.

Here is mine. It gets dirty so ridiculously fast – but after many years, this J color, 3.01 carat,  vvs1 diamond still thrills me!

ginak820 :  you made the right choice.  After 21 years, and even getting a bigger, more sparkly cushion cut diamond, my emerald cut still absolutely thrills new. It is classic and sophisticated. Love your setting.

mariegoldcanada :  Not sure you’re even still reading here but I’m just seeing your post since the thread is up. Sorry for taking forever. I wear it with a baguette band that James Allen made to fit. My fingers are short so I usually wear a wedding band and/or eternity band on my right hand.

I had to spam a little, these forums were my special place for a LONG time, and now I realise how difficult it is to take good light play pictures on a phone!! I adore my emerald and french cuts (especially in low lighting — delicious rainbow sparkle, holosexual here) and my basket setting. I’m obviously obsessed as we all end up being haha <3.

hannrk :  Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!!!  Did you have your ring custom made by someone?  Btw…I would have bet $1000 bucks that was a diamond emerald cut.  I must get me a zaya emerald cut for my tapered baguette ring.  Where did you get your frenchies from?

Tanukiko I think I accidentally replied as a PM but thank you so much! Everything is from Jen Hollywood!
