Then they replied:

If there is another style you are interested in, please let us know, and we will update the listing on the website to reflect the Forever Brilliant center stone. The Forever One is not being offered in the emerald cut currently. The difference is color. Please see below http://www.moissaniteco.com/forever_one_moissanite.html Sincerely Chris Customer Service

This is was the end of the conversation.

thanks doridori! Makes me think that they aren’t changing the listings to FB, i might send a message to Chris and just ask πŸ™‚ I wonder if someone orders and doesn’t upgrade to a FB, will they still get a FB stone? I’ll see what Chris says πŸ™‚

This is the response I got… Very confusing…

Hi Claire

It isn’t true.  We offer the emerald cut in both the regular and Forever Brilliant cut.  We don’t have plans to discontinue either.

Wow! You should copy him his response to me! If it helps though, the ring I liked and ultimately got, was originally marked at 1265, and after they changed the listing on that, it was listed as a FB only, no classic options, but the price also went up to 1415. So I still paid the $150 extra but not as an add on later.

I got another reply overnight. I have a feeling Chris is checking this thread πŸ˜‚ Answers our question and the confusion. Just seemed difficult to clarify

Hi Claire

I would like to clarify my previous email: we are transitioning a lot of our engagement rings and wedding sets to offer Forever Brilliant Moissanites by default, but we are still offering the emerald cut rings with regular and Forever Brilliant Moissanites.  Sorry for the confusion.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Sincerely

Chris

That is confusing! But you got the FB which is good. They are in the G-H color range, where the forever ones are D-F. Not sure I’d want to have a D-F, it would look “too good” if you know what I mean. The classics are considered I, J, K color. Even though the FB are G-H, they face up white. I took another picture outdoors at work, with a piece of white ribbon surrounding the stones, as this would be the best way to spot any wierd colors, and, well, here are the results:

Yeah I know exactly what you mean! It’s why I also got a “smaller” size stone, to avoid people thinking “that’s not a diamond, it’s too big for her to afford”. Even though I wouldn’t mind telling them it’s a moissanite. But for me, I want to “trick” most people and not have to say my moissanite speech πŸ˜‚ Your ring looks gorgeous! Can’t wait for mine to arrive!! 😍☺️

Thought the very same thing and went over that for weeks, wondering if I should go with the 1.5. I even took white paper, made rectangles in black in the sizes of the stones, c ut it out, and put it on top of a round diamond solitaire I have, to see how it looked. After awhile I just decided to go with the 2.5. It’s big but not as big as I thought it would be. People at work think it’s real because there really is no comparison between it, and a cz, cz’s are so hollow-looking, and any cz, if looked at, at an angle, has an empty black spot. Most people I found don’t know anything about moissy the fact that you can’t really find them in stores may be a blessing in disguise.

That’s pretty nice! but much more than I paid, I’m 2000% happy with mine. Charles & Colvard isn’t offering the forever one in the emerald cut but there are other manufacturers of moissanite. I specifically wanted a C&C moissy as they are the ones who first came out with it. I actually had a 1ct round moissy ring I bought back in 2001, but then I got a 1ct marquise diamond ring so I sold the moissy. Now that I have this emerald cut, I’m going to have the marquise set into a pendant. I’m just glad that the moissy I got exceeded my expectations for color, clarity and price.

doridori:  ahhh, i went with a 1.5. I didn’t really question the size when i purchased but since seeing a few 2.5ct’s on here im having second thoughts! I haven’t seen many photos of 1.5ct EC’s….I’m sure it will be fine πŸ™‚ Cheap enough to replace in a few years if i change my mind which was another bonus for me… I change my mind soooo much!

MoissaniteCo. has a chart on their website of the actual size of all the stones that they offer. That’s what I used to decide on the 2.5 but I was seriously going to go with a 1.5. If you go to youtube and type in emerald moissanite there is a 1 ct and it’s pretty nice so I think you’ll like the 1.5.

I used the chart aswell, just second guessing my choice πŸ˜‰ It’s not a major issue. Once i get the ring, gurantee i wont think twice about the size πŸ™‚ The wait is getting to me.. especially SO close to christmas. I realllllllllly would love it to be here by christmas to show off to the family, but i don’t think it’ll happen πŸ™ Im in Australia, guessing shipping would take longer than usual (unsure if it’s express shipping or normal)

Mine said it would take 10-12 business days, and it took 13. I emailed them on the 13th day and they said it was ready to be shipped out and they upgraded the shipping to overnight. So I got it on the 14th day. I was impressed that it came the day after I emailed them. So e rings take less time, some more, it tells you on the ring description page. How many days has it been so far for you?
