secpharm : so far I haven’t noticed any hints of color! I’m a photographer and have photographed it with a macro to see up close and I can’t distinguish any color! I chose a solo jeweler on Etsy to create my ring. She got her gems from a dealer? Maybe? But I received all the official documents from Harro gem certififying my stone. And I love my ring!

Katiekatiekatie : I also want a Harro gem emerald cut because it doesn’t seem to flash rainbow colors like the others I’ve seen and I like the whiteness of them. To me others are too cool in color like purple/blue/grey toned. Where did you order yours? I hope to get an 8×6 within the next year or two.

Sorry for the spam but here’s my Zaya moissanites from Jen Hollywood! So elated with it, they’re soooo shiny and beautiful! 2.2 elongted emerald cut centre with windmills! And 0.3 french cut sides on a 4.5 finger if anyone wants to know. The windmills make it for me, it makes the stone almost crushed ice sparkly around the edges and it matches the side frenchies so well! These forums were my happy place for a long time so thanks to everyone! Much love guys!

Yay! I finally got my emerald cut baby set!!! And to answer the question of how the step cuts look in moissanite, I’d have to say they look amazing! If you don’t care for the discoball effect of some cuts then this might work for you. I didn’t care for ECs before but now I’m obsessed with them. The flash of light play is great in this cut especially with the french cut side stones. Love, love, love ECs!!!
