Laylabee, not sure who you are asking but if it’s me, it’s a forever brilliant emerald cut. when I had questions  about the forever brilliants at Moissaniteco, they told me they are not selling the classics anymore. I was okay with that anyway, because I read a lot of comments about some stones looking yellowish under certain lighting, and I haven’t seen any yellow tones in my stone at all under any different lighting.

doridori:  Im sorry I was excited and forgot to tag you but yes I had seen your video and was blown away at how beautiful it was. Ty for sharing! I was wondering how they would appear since emeralds show more color. Was expecting it to be pretty yellow and dull in certain lightings but didnt seem to be in the video at all!

I am quite happy with mine, it shows absolutely no off color at all! It is white white white. My fiancé at first was hesitant about my decision to go with a moissy, he felt I was downsizing from having “the real thing”, but I wanted an emerald cut. We saw about 8 different emerald cuts at 3 different places. The biggest one was about a third of a carat, loaded up with small rounds, cost of $3500 and up. Not many jewelers want to carry substantial emerald cuts because they’d have to be very very expensive, there’s no hiding flaws in these stones. You wouldn’t be happy with an SI1 emerald cut stone but in a round it would be fabulous. Mind you though, these were vvs/vs diamonds. But believe it or not, the most brilliant diamonds I’ve found, were at Costco of all places. A 1ct round was $6500. So I compared the moissy on my hand to the bling in the showcases, taking full advantage of their showcase lighting,  and I could not see a difference. It’s that good. When I saw that, I was totally sold on my decision. those of you who are waiting for your rings, when you get it, go to a jewelry store and do as I did, you won’t be able to tell the difference either.

Lioness16, I have a feeling they gave you a classic moissanite. Mine shows no yellow at all but I got a Forever Brilliant. MoissaniteCo has discontinued their classics. Charles and Covard now have an even whiter stone called the Forever One, supposed to be a D-F color but they don’t have emerald cut yet for this newer stone. Anyone who is thinking of buying either a moissy or an amora should just search “Moissanite complaints” or “Amora complaints” as I feel that’s where the best info comes from. I have heard complaints also about MoissaniteCo. From my own experience, I’d have to give them 5 stars.

doridori:  hmm that makes me wonder.. I added the FB upgrade for $150 to my EC! If they were already FB, youd think the listing would say so ๐Ÿ™ I hope i didnt pay extra for no reason! .. in saying that it was only $150.. but I could have spent that on something else ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hi all, theyoungbride, I am cutting and pasting my email correspondence that I had with MoissaniteCo, starting with the one I sent them first:

Hello, I am interested in purchasing a ring in the next coming week. I am interested in 2 but I haven’t decided in which one I prefer. Well, actually, I do prefer one over the other. They are similar rings but the one I prefer is $335.00 more even though they’re very similar. Let me first say that first and foremost, I want a 2.5ct Forever Brilliant Emerald step cut stone, and I also want a two-tone setting. That being said… The first ring is #eng622-FB, and the second is #1071. As you can see, they are very similar. The first already has a FB stone but has a $35.00 charge for the two-tone setting. The second has a $150.00 upgrade charge for a FB stone but no charge for the two-tone setting. Does the eng622-FB have straight, or tapered baguettes, and is there a reason for the additional charge of $335.00 for ring #1071 (including the upgraded FB stone) to be almost identical to eng622-FB (including the upgraded two-tone setting)? I prefer #1071, only for the silly reason that I don’t like the baguettes having prongs holding the stones on the one side, I like the bars better, but not for $335.00 extra…..so I’m wondering, are there other reasons that aren’t readily apparent from the pictures for the higher price? Is there any possibility of getting real pictures of the rings rather than illustrations? Maybe that would help me decide which way to go. Thank you in advance for any enlightenment to the differences in these two rings.

This was their response:

We are in the process of updating our website as we are discontinuing the regular Moissanites and will only be offering the Forever One and Forever Brilliant brands going forward. Eng622 was being priced with FB radiants but only regular emerald Moissanites which is the cause of the confusion. Both eng622 and eng1071 have been updated so it is more clear. Please see below: http://www.moissaniteco.com/radiantemerald-baguette-forever-brilliant-engagement-ring-p-19014.html http://www.moissaniteco.com/emerald-baguette-moissanite-engagement-ring-p-19374.html eng1071 we unfortunately are not currently able to make in 2-tone. Both rings have tapered baguettes (5×2.5x2mm). The pictures online are real, but we are not able to provide additional ones upon request because all of our jewelry is made to order. Then I replied:

Ok, so since you are discontinuing regular moissys, if I order either ring, will it automatically come with a Forever Brilliant, or does it still have to be added at checkout? What is the difference between a forever brilliant and a forever one?
