(Closed) Emerald cut on a plain band or an emerald with two tapered baguettes?

    Oooh!!! Oooh!!! DEFINITELY tapered baguettes!!!!

    I may be a little (a LOT, haha!!) biased, but I have SUPER-long tapered baguettes in my e-ring.  I personally love the look of tapered baguettes the MOST with an emerald-cut center stone! I did not realize this until after I chose my semi-mount, round-brilliant center stone, and 1-ct., half-anniversary-band-style wedding band, set with round diamonds, however.

    Here is a pic of one I found online and love! I still very likely would have chosen a round center stone (possbily in a different setting), but, in a dream world, I would love to have one of these, too!

    That’s a hard choice. Both are gorgeous in their own right. I love the one with the baguettes, but part of me thinks the solitaire so the sole focus will be on the stone.

    Definitely baguettes. So classy and timeless. I also prefer the longer baguettes (though my ring has short bullets, I prefer the longer baguettes with the emerald cut stone).

    @LMD84:  I definitely prefer the long baguettes over the shorter ones with an emerald-cut stone, too! 🙂

    I really love the simplicity of the first one. You could get a beautiful ornate wedding band to go with it.

    I went with tapered baguettes on both but you could go with plain band on engagement ring and then get tapered wedding band for a little extra sparkle!
