I just asked my friend who is a jeweler, and according to his stats marquise and princess are the least expensive cuts, but it’s also harder to find emerald cuts in typical B&M stores. Like anything, a cut’s popularity will also affect the price.

All your rings are beautiful!!!!! It almost seems that emerald cuts look the biggest( per carat size if that makes sense)? Maybe i’m wrong?

I always always wanted an Emerald cut and look what my Fiance made me! I love him so much π
I don’t think they are more expensive but I know you can’t get away with a lower clarity stone as the cut really shows any imperfections.
They don’t sparkle anywhere near as much as rounds but then you do get large blinding flashes of light that you don’t get with any fancy cuts.

I am in love with emeralds. My dream ring is an emerald cut halo and my fingers are crossed that it’s the one SO proposes with. I think I like them not only because they’re classy, but also b/c they’re so different. I don’t want my ring looking like anyone elses, and you don’t see too many people with emeralds. I’d rather have a unique ring than a huge rock.

I love my emerald cut too!!!! It is a unique cut that has such lovely fire in the sun… I love that it has three stones- when my fiance proposed, he said it represented our two families becoming one π

Emerald cuts have always been my favorite. I think they are elegant, as has been mentioned before, and also somewhere on the bee I’ve seen them described as looking into infinity. With regards to sparkle, its definitely less overtly sparkly than a round, but I still think it has plenty! Because you can see more flaws, the necessary higher quality of an emerald cut I think makes it more than sparkly enough. Strangers have come over to see my ring because they said they could see it sparkle! Which I enjoyed, but thought was odd, since its not a huge ring at just over .5 carats for the center stone.
Here’s a pic, though I still haven’t gotten a really good one of it.

Really crappy photo of mine- it’s super clear in person!
Like many of you, I only wanted an emerald cut. They’re unique and classic. Not every single person has one, something I like about it. Fiance went to a private jeweler and fortunately they had 2 in stock. I also like that there are a ton of celebrities and famous people that favor emerald cuts π
