I say let yourself cry but practise ugly crying in front of the mirror! I’ve also read quite a few people on here who say they’re generally criers, but end up not shedding a tear at their wedding. You never know!

I couldn’t stop crying at my sister’s wedding and fully expected to be a mess at mine.  I cried at the rehearsal, but oddly enough on the day I was totally fine, which was not what I expected.

I am also a huge crier and only shed a few tears during our personal vows. I think everything felt too overwhelming for bawling, hopefully you feel the same!

Whenever I have the tendency to cry (about any situation), I try to imagine some goofy thing like a comedy skit from a funny TV show or a silly YouTube video. It helps to focus on something else, because my first reaction when I am crying is “oh god I’m crying and everyone is looking at me, time to cry harder.”

I cry at everything.  Sad songs…cute aninals…seeing other people upset. Everything. But I couldn’t stop grinning during my entire wedding and reception. My husband teared up some and here I was grinning ear to ear the entire time. You never know how you’re going to react so stop stressing and enjoy the day. And wear waterproof mascara just in case.

have the exact same fear…i cry at EVERYTHING…i’m so worried about first look, walking down the aisle, vows, speeches…even now, if someone makes a toast to me (like at bday dinner), i start crying.

I’m the opposite, I NEVER cry. I think like 3 people who know me have ever seen me cry. That being said, I totally cried at my wedding. I mean, sniffling red face could barely get out my vows crying lol. My tip would be not to worry about it too much. Most people expect you to get emotional at your own wedding! Just wear some waterproof mascara, have tissues close by, and take some deep breaths. You will get through it 🙂 Oh, and a stiff drink before walking down the aisle doesn’t hurt either!
