Darling Husband and are are not actively TTC (as in, we aren’t using temping, charting, anything like that – but we aren’t using contraception, either). Last week, well, we were at it like bunny rabbits. Just because. Friday we left for my parents for Thanksgiving. One hour into the car ride, I got motion sick, which almost never happens. Friday night I feel like eating nothing. Saturday I can barely eat. Sunday I can’t even stand the smell of food. Monday is the same. The whole time, I am also very dizzy every time I sit or stand up, to the point that lying down is best. And, I’m taking naps. Very unlike me. I can’t be around coffee right now – the smell makes me gag – but I am basically addicted to coffee.
Last night, I took a EPT even though it was way early. My last period started on 10/29, which made yesterday day 21. The test was negative. Becuase my father has been very sick lately, my mother insisted that I go to urgent care to be checked, because she didn’t want me staying there if I had a virus or something like that. I went, and the PA essentially said that everything is ok, no symptoms of anything wrong, but he would have a blood test done, even though it was early. I was diagnosed with nausea.
Today, I got my blood results. My beta HcG is less than one. I was crushed when I found out – I guess because I am having all of these symptoms, even though I’m not even at my period date yet, I was hoping based on what the PA said. I am actually really dissapointed. Even though I shouldn’t be.
So now I’m reading online about what HcG levels should be, and is it possible that it was too soon, etc., and I’m in information overload. Does anyone have advice? Just wait until next Tuesday and see what a POAS shows then? Or would the negative beta this soon be a confirmation of nothing?
