Like most ladies, I have been waiting for my FH to propose for awhile now. But in the last week or so, my ring finger feels empty since there is no ring (yet)! I want to take another ring and put it on my ring finger, but then that defeats the point. Anybody else feel like they should have a ring on their left hand yet?

The opposite really. I have worn a ring on my left finger since I got a birthstone ring for my 16th birthday. Nobody ever thought it was an engagement ring back then. In the past few years, its been mistaken for an e-ring so many times I lost count. Luckily I lost weight and was able to switch it on my right hand finger. It felt slightly weird at my age wearing a ring on my left hand that wasnt an engagement ring even though i’d been wearing it on that same finger for 10 years.

I have worn a ring on my ring finger for about 5 years and I recently switched my rings to my right hand because I know the engagement is soon! It just feels very empty now, but hopefully not for long!

Well I am engaged but I rarely wear my e-ring because of the nature of my work. At this point I wear it when we go out, special ocassions, etc. I now have three diamond engagement rings (two from previous relationships) and I simply do not wear them.

“Do you feel like you should have a ring on their left hand yet?”
Please fix the english there

Ah come on! People will be hesitant to post if they think that someone is going to be analysing their grammar!

I never wore a ring on “that finger” until the Fiance proposed. Now that being said – when I was alone I would wear a ring on that finger just to see how it would feel. 🙂

Agreed. OP, please don’t worry about the grammar of your post. I know I make little mistakes like this all the time myself. This is an informal forum, as long as we understand you, it’s cool!
For me it’s the opposite, I’m not sure how long it takes for me to get used to wearing a ring on a finger where I usually wear nothing. I think if yours is usally bare too, this is more about really wanting him to ASK and another ring is just not going to make you feel better (and may weird him out a bit). That said, you could always try one on there when you’re alone and see if it makes any difference (I bet it won’t though because it isn’t his ring!)
Now, as for thinking of FH as the person I’m going to be with for the rest of my life, I’m already very used to that

LOL! Truth is, people are usually always analyzing your grammar, whether they post about it or not 🙂
(but we all make mistakes, so who cares!)

I’ve worn my promise ring on my left ring finger for the last 2 years. I’m just waiting for it to be upgraded

First off, thank you to @FutureMrsRoos about the grammer. I am an elementary teacher and know and understand the rules of grammer, but yes, I am human and make mistakes!
Secondly, I’m just saying it feels odd since I have been wearing a ring on my ring finger for the last few years! My hand just feels lighter since there is no ring. The only reason I switched rings onto my right hand is that I know the engagement is soon! 🙂

My Left Ring Finger feels lonely lol I used to wear a fake ring for a while, especially if I went out to a bar and I didn’t feel like being hit on, but I always wore my Grandmother’s ring on my left pinky finger… until recently, when I started to have a mysterious rash. I switched it to the right hand and it’s cleared up… I wonder if Grandma’s sending me a sign that the ering isn’t too far off lol
