So I was browsing enchilada recipes this afternoon, and noticed that a decent amount of them call for the use of flour tortillas instead of corn. My grandmother and father would be horrified if I served them enchiladas made with flour tortillas, but there seem to be a lot of people (on the internet at least) who prefer to use flour.
When making enchiladas, do you prefer corn or flour tortillas?

I dislike corn tortillas pretty much anytime. They are just grainy to me. Bleck. So flour for me!!

I think that recipes for sour cream enchiladas made with a can of condensed soup usually call for flour tortillas, but that’s cause they aren’t really enchiladas 🙂 I always use corn.

I make some enchiladas with flour because my H hates corn ones, but I cringe every time I do it. Corn tortillas are the *only* option in my mental cookbook for enchiladas- using flour makes them an americanized, mexi junk food in my mind.

I do find that white corn tortillas are less grainy and more tolerable to picky palates.

When I used to make enchilidas always use flour. I hate corn tortillas for any type of Mexican flare for food
