I loved that ring but I gave it back.  We split on good terms and I was the one who initiated it so I didnt feel right keeping it.

I’m trying to sell mine, but the set is a size 3.5 so I’m not getting many takers. I’m hoping for it to go toward my new set.

I thought about having the diamond reset into a new setting to save my Fiance a TON of money but I was afraid of bad karma and my Fiance could easily afford a new ring. SO new diamond it was.

I like the idea of resetting it into a pendant w/ my FI’s birthstones, but I don’t care for peridot so maybe emeralds as he’s 1/2 irish.

Right now it sits in my draw w/ my old wedding band. Somedays I like to stack all 3 just to admire all the carats sparkle at once. 😉 4+cts total Ooooohhhh Ahhhhhhhhh!

Sold mine to a pawn shop. Probably the same one it came from. I can’t believe how blessed I am with the man and ring I have now!

The jewelry store my first ring was from allows trade ins as long as the amount spent is double or more of the original ring. So for example, a $5000 ring trade in could be used towards the purchase of a new ring priced at $10000 or higher. I held on to that sucker knowing it could be used towards a new ring in the future.

When fiance and I started looking at rings, we went to the same store and talked to them about the trade in. We picked out a ring that we liked, and months later when my fiance was ready to propose, it was already all set up for him to be able to bring the old ring in and use it as a down payment on the new ring. The first ring ended up paying for about 40% of the new ring cost.

Gribberama:  Mine got stolen, but the diamond was cracked (I think his was a sign) so good luck to whomever took it!

I’m not an encore bride but my parents are separated. My mum said she was going to sell her rings, but decided to keep them for my sisters and I. She has her mother’s e-ring and wedding band, which I will receive as part of my inheritance (mum currently wears the e-ring on her right hand). She has her grandmother’s e-ring and wedding band, which one of my sister’s will receive as part of her inheritance. And now my other sister will receive mum’s e-ring and wedding band as a part of her inheritance. My mum thought it was nice that we would each get a set, from 3 generations. Plus, she and my dad don’t hate each other or anything so she doesn’t have any negative feelings attached to the rings.

Since my childrens grandmother recently passed and she left my daughter her gorgeous wedding ring, I have my old ring saved for my son. Hopefully he can use all the stones and redesign a new ring for his future fiance. Win, win for both.

I had it turned into a Necklace. always wanted a simple diamond necklace. I wear it almost everyday. I love it! My ex and I parted peacefully so I don’t have a problem wearing it. It was special to me and still is. Plus, i think it’s a perfect size for a necklace. .88 round from Tiffany. I brought it back to them and they reset it for me

Brought to Jeweler when we went to purchase the 3 rings. We were able to trade it in and get a good chunk off the total! I kept my wedding band (channel setting 11 diamonds) they were only going to offer me like $30 dollars for it (for the gold, won’t give money for small diamonds)… and someday I would like to have some kind of ring with diamonds and sapphires for my kids’ birthstones so why not use these diamonds that I already have!

We never ended up actually getting married, but I had an engagement ring nonetheless.  I ended up selling it and Fiance and I went out to eat at a fancy restaurant.

somewhere around the time I found out he had an affair, I threw it in my car and have not found it. Praying it wasn’t sucked up in a vacuum because I would love to sell the thing.
