I am an encore bride at the age of 40 by the time we get married and his first marriage. I have three beautiful children from my first marriage of 11 years and looking forward to ttc with him. I had the big white wedding the first time around and really wasnt looking to do it again, but since he had not had that privilage we decided to split in the middle. We are having a small ceremony with just family in a small vfw hall and are doing all the planning ourselves. From bouquets to favors, we are doing it ourselves. I am though wearing a white dress again and I am looking forward to feeling like a princess again on my wedding day. This time I am marrying my soul mate, my best friend, the person who I love waking up to everyday.

Hi I’m Allison, 35 and an Encore bride marrying an Encore groom. We have been together since December 2010. I was separated from my husband since August 2010 but our divorce was not final until this past February. Fiance was divorced last August (on my wedding anniversary). Little back story to us: Fiance was married to one of my ex-best friends, so I knew him for about 6 years. She had numerous affairs on him. When my dad passed 2 years ago, she used my father’s funeral as a cover for one of her affairs and thats when everything came out in the open. They separated first, then a few months later my ex-h & I separated. So Fiance & I were supporting each other just as friends until one fateful day in December.
The rest is history. We got engaged in march and planning a simple & small affair in October. His 11 year old son will be his best man.

I have been lurking for a while here and have really enjoyed reading about everyones wedding plans. Though not yet officially engaged I thought I would post and introduce myself anyway. The ring has been picked out and purchased, just waiting for the actual proposal! Anyway, I am a 40 something encore bride…twice. He is a first time (30). And yes I guess I am a cougar! lol
My first marriage was a high school sweetheart. I think I was so devastated by the ending of my first marriage that I jumped into another relationship with someone who was basically the polar opposite of my first husband. We were married for about 8 years but thinking back I think I knew in the first year I made a mistake but I tried to make it work.
I have a total of 3 children. A college age son from my first marriage and a 10 year old son and 6 year old daughter from my second marriage.
I met my soon to be fiance one night when I was just trying to get out of the house. I told my friends I needed a, “Distraction”. Well I got one! 5 years later we are so happy together! I finally have the man of my dreams, the man I have been searching for my entire life. He really is my very best friend and I am his…And this time, I really took my time! I truly believe that the 3rd times the charm!
We are thinking early spring 2013 on the beach…

I to am an encore bride & proud of it. My first marriage was a forced marriage (LONG story) & to say the least we were not meant to be together. Now I am getting ready to marry the man of my dreams. He has been my best friend since we were 16. So far we’ve been living together for a year & a half & I am loving everything about it. (My first marriage we weren’t allowed to live together, we barely knew each other, & well through abuse, cheating, & lying into that & it was not a happy place to be.) Who better to marry than the person who has been there for you through everything & knows you better than anyone else. Love ya Mr. Vest!

I’m an encore-encore bride marrying an encore groom! As my name says, I believe third time is a charm for me….. or at least my groom is a charm 🙂 It’s funny, I had to deliberate and think and ponder the first two and this time…. I just knew. It feels right.
We are getting married 12.12.12 at 12:00pm! So far I haven’t seen anyone else with that date! My daughter will be 12 also!
Congrats to everyone!

- Wedding: June 2013 - Piney River Ranch
I’m Alicia – 2nd time bride, first time groom. I was married before when I was 23 (I’m 27 now) and that lasted 1.5 years. We separated in May 2010 and our divorce was final in June 2011 (took so long due to finances to pay for the divorce). Started dating my current fiance in June 2010 and we’re getting married next summer.
This time around the wedding is going to be more intimate, more casual… and FH is completely fine with that 🙂

I’m an encore bride (2nd time) and this is my fiance’s first. We were high school sweethearts who got back together 25 years later. It’s been absolutely wonderful!
I think the best thing about being an encore bride is that I’m not stressed at all about anything. I was 22 when I got married the first time and there was so much drama & stress. This time, it’s so relaxed & happy.
33 days until the wedding…can’t wait!!!!!

I’m an once-married encore bride at 35 (I’ll be 36 when the wedding rolls around in June 2013). He’s a twice-married (hey, third time’s the charm, right?) encore groom at 40 (he’ll be 41 when the wedding rolls around). We’ve known each other since I was 15.
Both of his previous weddings were fairly large. My first was enormous! This time around, we’re doing it our way (at my first, I was 24 and did a lot — A LOT — of family-pleasing things that I would’ve been fine w/o): an intimate wedding for 40 at our favorite B&B.
