I think it’s a personal preference.  I don’t see anything wrong with it.  Although, I am an encore bride and I will not be wearing one this time.

I didn’t vote in the poll – because I would have voted “whatevs ya want!” and that wasn’t an option from which I could choose.

Wearing a veil is a tradition from long long ago.  And, I think, if you look at the “hard and fast rules” a veil was worn to signify *purity*, which is why the *rule* is that an encore bride *shouldn’t* wear them.  But really, let’s call a spade a spade….. LOTS of the women who wear veils and white aren’t *pure* (although some def are).

So, now the veil is more of a fashion accessory.  Wear if you want.  Don’t wear it if you don’t.

I am not wearing a veil, not because I’m an encore bride…. but because I have short hair and I”m not really a “head adornment” kind of girl.  However, if you want to wear a veil I say “you go girl!!!!”

I’m not wearing a veil this time, and even before we decided on a more casual wedding instead of a formal one, I hadn’t planned on it.  I couldn’t bring myself to wear a white gown and veil a second time, and actually surprised the heck out of myself for even buying a white dress!  I generally don’t care what anyone else does, but I know snarky people would have thought it was tacky and I didn’t want to deal with it.  Honestly, there will always be someone who doesn’t like what you decide to do, but forget them!  It’s YOUR day, so do what matters to YOU.  If you want to wear a veil, go for it!
