After it sat in our junk drawer for 5 years, I pawned it for tickets to Radiohead and a new tattoo.

I sold my 2 wedding bands.  I took the diamond out of my e-ring, sold the gold.  I plan on using the diamond to put in a pendant for my niece for her sweet 16.

I sold my old e-ring and specifically tried to use that money to buy fun things.

Im giving all the jewlry my ex gave me to our son, when he is older.  Then he can decide what he wants to do with it, but I will stipulate no using it as a e-ring/wedding ring.

Has anyone had experience selling jewelry on ebay or craigslist?  I have some items from a previous relationship that I should unload, but I wasn’t sure if I’d get a better deal from a pawnshop or if I should try to sell them on my own.

My ex gave me an engagement ring just before I ended the relationship. I was 19 and pretty dumb and thought it was a good idea to just throw it as hard as I could into a lake seeing as this guy was a huge douche. It felt good at the time xD

The mother’s day after my son was born my now EX gave me a wedding set that he purchased at the pawn shop.  Money was tight and since I had lost the very tiny diamond out of my engagement ring I was thrilled. Fast forward 20 years, I decided after being divorced for 5 years to sell the rings.  HMMMMMM guess what, they weren’t even real diamonds. I now have the most beautiful diamond engagement ring from the man I was meant to spend the rest of my life with!!

My mom had gotten a new ring from my dad so she gave me the center diamond from her engagement ring. Because it has more meaning than just from my ex I decided to save it and give it to my daughter when she gets older.

I’m taking the diamonds out and making a pendant for when my daughter turns 16, but the wedding rings we had from our first marriages will be sold. My original diamond will be sold and I’ll use the $$ from that to buy my son his H.S. ring.

I took them back to the original store I purchased them from, and “upgraded” to something else completely.
