I didn’t have a Honeymoon the first time so this one will be different anyway. We do realize that although a Honeymoon is special we know that it won’t be our "best" vacation ever, that would be way too much pressure. We plan on going somewhere where we can relax and have a good time. Having found him has been such a blessing that no matter where we go it will be special anyway.

P.S. A bungalow overlooking a cliff in Negril or a "Casita" in Tulum Mexico would be adorable though.

I didn’t have a honeymoon the first time around, we just stayed in a hotel one night – it was a gift, we couldn’t afford to do anything.  This time around, the Mr. and I are taking a honeymoon to Mexico.  We figure we have the money and it would be nice to take a break from our jobs, house, and kids, and just spend time together letting the whole "we’re married" thing sink in.

I went on a huge Honeymoon before and will do so again.

This time different area though.  Most likely St. Lucia or the Virgin Islands.

Last time was a miserable week in Key West. I suffered from severe, untreated anxiety @ the time (warning….shoulda listened…) and could barely leave the hotel unless I drank ’till I passed out. No snorkeling, no boat rides, no jetskis…it was all pretty pointless. It wasn’t untill the demise of the relationship that on that trip, he admitted that he regretted marrying me.

This time, we’ll be in Vegas (where we’re getting married). I am anxiety-free, and can’t wait to see the rollercoaster! Whoo!

We are both encores and we are taking a low key private escape to a cabin outside of Pigeon Forge. Hot tub on the deck, king size bed, secluded location-we wanted to be off the beaten path, so are planning on going by the grocery store before picking up our keys, making sure we have enough firewood delivered, and disappearing for a week…during leaf season in a cabin overlooking Smoky Mtn National Park…sounds like a slice of heaven away from family-even though we love them, my two very rambunctious 5 year old twins will be awaiting us on our return. So-this will be the first and last vacation we have alone together for quite some time!

Luckily we have great grandparents and my sis and bil who will watch my son.

It’s hilarious.  Usually my son goes out of town with us (T and I get separate bedrooms) and he just thinks he is SUPPOSED to always go out of town with us.  When I told him we might get married, my 10 yo son replies:

"Wow.  I can’t wait to go ON THE HONEYMOON.  Do I get my own room again?  I wonder where WE will go?"

@Bellenga-you made me LOL! My twins ask all the time why they can’t go on our honeymoon with us. "Kids say the darndest things!" 🙂

Now my old honeymoon was fun, don’t get me wrong, but we did four days at disney and then a four day cruise (with my xh).  I didn’t specifically ASK or want a disney vacay, he just kinda (the ex) came up with that one.  All I was told was "pack a swimsuit and some clothes for warm weather".  I was expecting something like tahiti..and he told me I’d get my "clue" at the reception.

At the end of my wedding as we were departing from the reception and everybody was blowing bubbles at us (back in 96′), the dj began playing the damn theme from the "Mickey Mouse Club".  I was sorta bummed.

It wasn’t terribly romantic.  In fact, my exh’s proposal wasn’t romantic.  I want me some romance!!!  T knows this and about my awful proposal I had too with the ex.  He and I are sorta leaning towards St. Lucia or the Virgin Islands.

Hmmm…good question.  I had a week-long honeymoon the first time, and we’re planning on doing a minimoon immediately and then a real honeymoon 6 months or so after the wedding.  The reasoning behind this is because he won’t have enough time off accrued when the wedding happens.

So I’ll happily just take a few days now…and then a few more days later!  Who wouldn’t want two trips instead of one?

Like others before me, the location will also vary greatly.  The first one was in Mexico, and the second will probably be somewhere in the Caribbean.  So that will be different too.

I never went on a Honeymoon before, this will be my first. I was a teenager and pregnant during my first wedding and we had very little money. Didn’t have a Honeymoon the second time either. This time, I am finally going on a honeymoon and a two-part one at that. To the Bahamas immediately after the wedding and then to the coast of Maine at the beginning of October!

Yay Bluespurrs!~you truly deserve it.

Where are you going in the Bahamas?  I love the bahamas.  If you like fun and variety of restaurants and some of the wildest waterslides (into a plexiglass shark tank) good diving, and the largest out door aquarium in the world check out atlantis!

Ya mon!  We’re off to Florida in 2 days (not a honeymoon, just another vacation..this time with my son).  But it will be nice when it’s just he and I again.
