- Wedding: March 2012
So some of you bees may recall how frustrated I have been in the past with venue and date choices – and ultimately took a short “hiatus” from the bee to regroup. Obviously I came back shortly after, ready to actually plan stuff with a firm date and a venue! (If you are truly curious…there are old threads you can read, haha). Things had been slowing down again as we both got busier, the timelines kept telling us we were behind in our planning, but yesterady that changed!
Anyways – the encouragement part! Yesterday, Fiance and I did SO much wedding stuff and neither of us got overwhelmed or bored with it, amazingly. We both were on the same page and did all of this: Went and picked a tux style, along with vest colors for he and the groomsmen. Registered at our first store! 🙂 Created and ordered our Save the Dates. Talked to the hairstylist about time (well, this was mostly me). And we started looking at invitations and made a tentative “day of” timeline! It was nice to mark things off our to-do lists and feel like we’re actually planning our wedding.
On that note, to all the other frustrated brides, it’s okay to be frustrated with it for periods of time. I’m beginning to think that it’s normal. But having a day or two of productivity is really encouraging and motivated us both to think more about our wedding in a good way. 🙂 Don’t give up – just wait it out, keep the ball moving (even if it’s slowly, like mine was) and do things at your own pace. 🙂
P.S. – Wasn’t sure which board to post this to. Lol
