So, I am a special ed teacher and I have 2 awesome assistants that work with me. I would like to buy them something special for the end of the year, but I have no clue what. I feel like I need to get them each the same thing to avoid hurt feelings. (I have more of a friend relationship with one and more of a working relationship with the other, but that’s just the way it works sometimes.)
They have worked really hard, especially since I’ve been on maternity leave…they have taken a lot upon themselves that truly went above and beyond.
However, since being on maternity leave, I am not getting paid, so I have to be frugal.
Any ideas for something cute and modestly priced? Just something to say thank you!

@tnbellebee: There are lots of “teacher gift” ideas on Pinterest that would work. Here are a couple of my favorite:

I’m also a sped teacher with 2 assistants! I typically end up getting each of them a $25 gift card for a restaurant since they both have husbands and kids, and being an aide doesn’t pay very well! Plus I know that they enjoy date nights, but don’t often have the time/resources to go out. I also write them a nice, sappy card, and last year I bought a “Thank You” book for one of them (probably from Marshall’s or something) and I wrote a beautiful note in it about how I couldn’t function day to day without her. I think they really enjoy the recognition and kind words.

@MexiPino: Love it! So cute! And I see several that look inexpensive!
