(Closed) Engaged but no ring- legit?

  • poll: If a couple is engaged but there isn't a ring yet, I think-

    It's just as legit as any ring-ed engagement

    It's more legit than a ring-ed engagement because they don't need a ring to prove anything

    It's semi-legit but I wouldn't take it as seriously

    It's not legit til there's a ring

    Legit, just slightly confusing at first and since it’s someone close to me, i reserve the right to (politely) ask why (once) out of curiosity.

    @shaydenise:  That’s not true. Engagement rings have been around since Egypt. Originally they were a sign of ownership. The Romans gave rings as a sign of being betrothed. The rest is history.
