Hi, bees! I got engaged two weeks ago, but I am just now sharing. I wanted to throw in my two cents to the board that helped me so much when I was doing ring research!
My inspiration was the Kitana ring from Rosado’s Box. I saw it while browsing online one night, and it struck me how different it was, while still being sort of classic. I couldn’t decide if I wanted round or cushion, and I’ve always liked a “geometric” look, so it seemed like a fit. Fiance liked its uniqueness too. I kept revisiting the screenshot. Fast forward a couple months to when we started shopping in stores, and nothing stood out to me. I decided I wanted my local jeweler to take the Kitana inspiration and make it mine. I found a ring in store with a tapered, milgrain pave band that I loved, so I incorporated it into the design, too. I was so nervous to pull the trigger on a “different” style, but I am so glad I did!
My 1ct equivalent moissy is wonderful! I was worried about being sensitive to the color and it not going well with the diamond halo. I actually love that it stands out from the halo. Every once and a while I am a little bothered by the slight yellow tint when it is overcast or awful lighting, but the vast majority of the time I am just fascinated by the brilliance of the stone and all the colors it takes on! Moissys really do have personalities!
Without further ado, pics coming in the next post!
