Hi all, old bee asking for advice. My Brother-In-Law and his fiance were supposed to get married this year and they also live on the other side of the country from both their families. I think this has been a really tough time for them not only with the uncertainty and their timeline derailed, but also because they’re far away from home. We were thinking of sending them something like a meal kit box and maybe some new cookware? Not sure what (or if anything) would cheer them up right now, but any suggestions are welcome. Thank you in advance. Hope everyone is healthy and safe.

That sounds like a really thoughtful idea 🙂

Thats SO SWEET and thoughtful. My wedding was supposed to be in May and now is postponed for a year. For me, personally, I’d love a gift certificate to my favorite local restaurant. It’s helping out a local business that I care about and we can use it when it’s over.
I’m worried some of my favorite local restaurants wont make it so this would help them and be something I can look forward to doing with my fiance.

Do they have a wedding registry? As a bride whose wedding was postponed, this would be a sweet gesture and very much appreciated. I’ve done the same for some friends whose weddings were also postponed.

The gift certificate is a great idea! thanks, @bpositive!
@mrsmcho, they don’t have one yet, as they just got engaged right a few weeks before the state lock-downs started, but maybe they will create one online in the coming months…i’ll start snooping. 🙂 thanks!

So lovely of you to be thinking of them. Im supposed to be getting married in September, and I know a small token of thoughtfulness would make me whole day. I would say maybe getting them a registry item or sending a sweet card/flowers.
