Congratulations!  We had a 6 month engagement and it was plenty of time.  As long as you can get the important stuff booked right away, the rest is easypeasy ๐Ÿ™‚

Wow, congratulations! My friend didn’t have much time at all before her wedding and she planned it brilliantly. The three things you did this weekend where probably the best things to get done first. I would find vendors you like and put a deposit down to save the date but not make any final decisions on specifics (what type of flowers, food) until you have had a while to think them over. Sleep on it. Browsing wedding sites might change your mind – I sure changed my mind about a few things ๐Ÿ˜‰
And of course make sure your guests know about it soon if they have to travel (that is, of course, if you haven’t notified them already) Good luck ๐Ÿ™‚

Congrats indeed, and it is totally doable. Whatever you do don’t give in to that corporate wedding must have list and just plan your very own special thing, it’s going to be brilliant!
