Here’s when I take mine off:

kettlebell class
heavy cooking/cleaning (handling raw meat, washing a sink full of dishes)
showering (most of the time)
putting on sunscreen (most of the time)
sleeping (i’m afraid I’d take it off in my sleep and lose it – I do weird things like that)

I don’t always take it off to apply lotion – depends on the situation and whether I have a safe place to put it.  I’m looking foward to having a plain wedding band that I can wear to the beach because I worry about wearing my ering there (sunscreen, water, sand, ugh).

And I clean it about once a week in jewelry cleaner to get rid of lotion and other residue (which isn’t always removed w/ regular handsoap).

I always have it on, except when showering or if I had to actually stick my hands in icky stuff while cooking 🙂

I take it off when I go to bed and put it back on after my shower and lotion.  I’ll take them off if I put lotion on my hands any other time, or plan to get really dirty.  I’ve been known to just put gloves on and not take it off in the garden, but not usually.  When we were moving my stuff to our house I left it at home to not bang it around.

Basically anything that I’ll knock it around or it’ll get so dirty I won’t want to clean it I’ll take them off.

I take mine off to clean and shower ect.. but most importantly when I EAT!!!!!

The day I got my ring I got the most orgasmic chocolate cupcake all over it and I was devastated! Ever since then I have taken it off to eat lol.

I wear my ring almost all  the time (even sleeping) except when I take my ring off when going to the gym (most of the time), showering, cleaning, putting any type of lotion on, and when I’m doing art crafts such as using paint or glue.

I take off my rings the moment I get into the house. That way I don’t have to do any chores, cooking, cleaning etc with it on. If I am leaving for volleyball or a walk/jog/run I leave it at home as I hate exercising with jewelry on.

Sometimes when I am making the beds I take it off so I don’t bang it.  I do sometimes take it off to do dishes but not all the time.  And I take it off everynight to sleep (I dont like sleeping in rings).  I usually shower 1st thing in the am, so I don’t have my ring on then but if I shower later, I wont’ take it off (water and soap makes my ring sparkle and shine).

I do take it off to out on lotion on hair cream.

Gardening. Even with gloves on it gets dirty.

Swimming. Lake, pool, whatever – no ring.

Keep in mind the more times you take your ring off the more chances you have of losing or misplacing it. I do almost everything with my ring on. I have the Tiffany Grace ring. It’s beautiful & very expensive. The only thing I really don’t do is put on hand sanitizer with my ring on since I was told this could damage jewelry. I think most diamond rings are of good enough quality that you don’t have to worry so much about them breaking prongs, etc.

Relax & Wear it 😉

Well lets see…

I take my ring off for:

-heavy yard work

-putting on makeup

-washing the dishes

-swimming in rivers/oceans/ponds/lakes etc

most of this I take the ring carefully off for (and put it somewhere SAFE and special) is that my ring is too big, and I don’t want it to accidently slip off and get lost. Once I get it resized and don’t have to deal with my DIY ring-resizer (a foam bandaid carefully wrapped around the base of the band, lame I know, but hey, it works) then I’ll probably stop taking it off for most of these events.

One thing I never do is take it off when I’m outside. I’ve seen people leave their engagement rings in public bathrooms because they took it off washing their hands.

When I come home, I put it in my jewelry box.

As much as my Fiance hates it, I hardly wear my ring in the house.  But that’s only because we have an adorable little puppy who likes to lick and tries to eat everything (apparently it’s a corgi thing).  So that means I don’t wear it in the shower, heavy cleaning, washing dishes, etc.  Basically, I only wear it out of the house (while doing non-doggy related things like puppy class, dog park, etc).  I do wash my hands with it on but because of the detail work in it and the Tacori crescent patterns on the side, I have to make sure that I completely dry it out…makes for a long time in the restroom at work! lolz
