SO and I have joked quite a bit about that, where I was basically able to “jokingly” but the kibosh on sporting events or hot air balloons. But I really think that if you’re marrying someone, they should know you well enough to plan a proposal that is perfect for you as a couple (like, he knows I am completely terrified of heights. A hot air balloon is clearly a non-starter).
He knows that I want him ultimately, so when he asks, whether it’s on vacation, at a restaurant, or on our couch with our pup, wine and Netflix, I get to say yes to him. Everything else is just background noise.
