Congrats on your engagement! I just got engaged too ๐Ÿ˜€ And I’m trying not to, but I want to post on every “show your ring” thread I can. Here’s my oval green amethyst ๐Ÿ™‚ Vintage style, but new ring.

I’m in DC too! Here’s my ring – it’s from the 1920’s but not a family ring. We got it from a jeweler who specializes in estate pieces.

@SaharaD:  thank you so much! i’m actually really considering changing my engagement ring to a moissanite solitaire. sometimes i love the ruby because i think it’s striking but other times i miss the simplicity of a soiltaire.

@SaharaD:  Thank you! I actually first saw that combination when browsing the Tiffany’s site, lol, but then I discovered it was much more vintage than I realised! I think it creates a nice shape. I have started to really love ovals and pears in halos as well so I love your ring ๐Ÿ™‚

My ring was my Fiance’s grandmother’s ring from 1939 (we think).

I love vintage rings! Yours all look amazing!

Congrats, your ring is beautiful! Mine is a cushion halo but I love round halos! Here is a side view of mine… I think the filigree and engraving gives it a real vintage feel!
