Mine doesn’t really fit well on my right hand, so I keep it as my filler ring for when I know I’ll be working outside or doing other things that I don’t want to mess with my e-ring. I love my first ring (not really a promise ring, but I’ve had it for years), and I plan to save it for a future child to have/give to a special girl.

I wear the claddagh ring he got me for christmas last year on my right ring finger. I might get a band to go with it, but who knows. It’s a $25 ring, but it’s been a trooper so far. Good investment 🙂 My engagement ring was my great grandmother’s, so it’s nice to have a ring he got me on too. 🙂

Mine wasn’t a promise ring as such SO refers to it as a “placeholder” ring, he wanted a ring to propose with. I was going to use it as a wedding band but as the metal of my e-ring is 18k and the p-ring is 14k we are worried about damaging the e-ring. So instead I am now getting the p-ring resized (been meaning to do it for ages and only just got around to it) and I’ll wear it on my right hand. We ended up buying a simple plain 18k band for my w-band, but I am really happy with that cos I actually think it “matches” better that way.

I am actually going to be wearing a lot of rings after I get married. I currently have my promise ring on my right hand and my engagement ring on the left. After we get married I will wear my engagement ring, my wedding band, my promise ring and my grandmother’s wedding band on my left hand. I know, its a lot, but they are all so special to me, I can’t imagine not having them on at all times!

Mine, from a distance, looks like a solitaire (though the design is more of a petite cluster) so no, I don’t wear mine. It seemed a little much to have two solitaire-looking rings, one on either side. If it was a simple band, I probably would.

No I don’t. I wore it for 8 years straight so I think it deserves a break lol I was thinking of incorporating the little diamond in my band somehow…

Well…mine is complicated.  I initially had my promise ring and decided that I didn’t want to wear it until he was ready to propose.  SOOOO when he did propose, I used it as my engagment ring (a sentiment I love).  NOW….I’m pregnant and just wear my wedding band.  lol…but when my hands are normal-sized, I plan to wear it on my right hand again.

My BF still wears her promise ring on her right hand. I think it’s sweet. He gave it to her in high school and now 10 years later, married with three kids she’s still wearing it.

I wear my promise ring on my right hand. I love the ring, it’s kinda unique, and it doesn’t look like an engagement ring so I don’t look too “blingy” for my tastes.

I wear mine on my right hand still even tho its was not an expensive ring but it was a claddaugh and I am a whole lot of Irish so it was not just a promise but something i love wearing to show off my heritage! lol even it the shape is so warped I will wear it every day!

It really depends on the bride to be. I decided once my fiance asked me to marry him that my promise ring will stay on my ring finger and once we were married the ring placement would be wedding band, e-ring, and promise ring to show the stages of our love.

I do! My promise ring is the Cartier Trinity ring that sybolizes Love, Fidelity, and Friendship…so sweet… I wear it on my right hand stacked with an eternity ring (that was my original wedding band) My wedding band is the Cartier Love wedding band…I’m a bit of a Cartier fan…but I couldn’t imagine not wearing the promise ring… So special….
