For the side dishes, what are you SO’s favorites? I know I like grilled asparagus and baked macaroni and cheese.

You can ask him in passing so he doesn’t know what’s going on, or just think about dishes he’s ordered in the past.

Maybe wear something pretty, and I’m sure after a nice dinner and dessert, he’ll be all over you like flugle flies on a flat-face flugle horse! 😉

That was a Grinch Who Stole Christmas reference. Haha.

I think garlicky potatoes…either mashed or roasted will be great with the chicken!  //  I made the chicken once or twice already.  I might make it again this weekend.  Mmm….

@Brideonabudgetlauren: Engagement chicken is a delicious roasted chicken recipe that I believe was started by Glamour magazine..!  Rumor has it that every woman who has made it for her beau got engaged shortly after. 🙂

I actually had made it first in July 2011 both for kicks (and to see if this would work!), and if nothing came out of it at least you’d have a new delicious chicken dish to work with..!  I got proposed to in April 2012, but my beau actually told me that he meant to propose in fall of 2011 but didn’t buy the ring yet.

You can actually google the recipe.. it’s quite delicious!  It’s so good that I make it once a week for Fiance, and he loves it!  We also almost always have leftovers to enjoy for the next day.

@Sweetheartchic:  Good luck, doll!  I always pair my chicken with a carb side (Spanish rice is a fave of ours) as well as a veggie side (usually sauteed spinach or string beans).  Yum!

@romantical:  Thanks!  I’ve seen it mentioned a few times on here before.  I wasn’t sure what it was.  I will check it out!

I would definitelly add some grilled asparagus. I make it in the oven and my SO just loves it. Just mix in some olive oil, parmesan and minced garlic with the asparagus also add some sea salt. Bake in the over for 15 minutes at 400. It’s awesome!

Also some chocolate covered strawberries ?? Those can really put a romantic spin on!

Don’t foget to wear something sexy and your SO is going to feel like he won the lottery. But I am sure he already feels that way 🙂

I like the idea of engagement ribs or wings or roast or anything like that.  If i liked the idea at all.

Its not about the chicken, its about showing your SO how important and special they are to you.
