Hey ladies! Heard about this recipe on while browsing the boards, thought it wouldn’t hurt to try! the kicker here is that I’m a Vegetarian haha, I told SO that I wanted to make it as practice for cooking the Thanksgiving turkey this year & that him and my son could reep the benefits lol….. Wish me luck!!
Have any of you ladies made Engagement Chicken for your SO? if so…How’d it go?!? Fingers crossed girls!!

I made it last year and he bought a ring 3 months after, then proposed 2 months after that 🙂 I’m not crazy though, and I know he didn’t propose JUST because of that meal… haha

I made it two years ago… and he proposed two months ago lol! It was a slow working chicken! It was delicious though, and I’d definitely make it again!

I made it last year, mostly cause it sounded good, and I’m still not engaged… But it tasted really good! Good luck with your chicken!

Never made it. But I made my SO engagement steak about a month ago haha. I told him it was engagement steak and he told me well it was good. Haha. I also made him breakfast the other morning and called it engagement breakfast( These things are not real engagement things like the chicken just jokes I make to my SO lol)
Good luck fingers crossed I hope it works!!!

I do not plan on making it. I’m not too certain that a chicken will magically make him propose.

hmm..I’ve never heard of engagement chicken before. Is there something different about this chicken or is it just so good that it’ll make him propose? lol

@brideoffrankenstein: How did it come out? I know you weren’t the one eating it but did your man enjoy it? I can’t wait to try that recipe. I found one with a twist on the bee. It’s drunk engagement chicken and it sounds amazing. I love chicken and my SO loves food. LOL I used to be a Vegetarian but I broke down years ago. The chicken, it calls to me. Now I help with animal rescues to make up for it.
