My mom is throwing us a engagement party at my grandparents house next month and she’s having me make the invitations (i went to school for graphic design) but I don’t know how to word it and either did she! I want to include her on the invitation as host – and mention that it’s going to be a casual affair (cake and drink only – maybe some shrimp and cheese&crackers and other miscellaneous things like that – but no meal). Any suggestions?

I struggled for days on the wording, but below is what we came up with. You could change “cocktail Party” to a casual celebration, then below write: cocktails, hors’ d’oeuvres, and dessert will be served… Just my thoughts! Good luck!

I have no clue. We aren’t having a formal engagement party. We are getting a bunch of friends together and going to a dueling piano bar. It will just be like a Saturday night out. I’m probably going to set the event up through Facebook. ^_^
