(Closed) Engagement party questions???

Well, it’s not really your job to figure out those things because you shouldn’t be planning your own engagement party, it’s something family or friends do for you if someone offers. We didn’t have one, didn’t really care since our families do already know eachother. To me personally entertainment and games seems kinda unnecessary, the ones I’ve been to we just have dinner and chat and catch up with everyone.

Ours was right after our surprise proposal, so I didn’t know that it was coming, going into it.  We went out to dinner, and it basically was the two families and our closest friends getting to know each other. It was a blast!

I just went back and realized that you are the bee who had posted about wanting to have a large engagement party and invite people you’re not inviting to the wedding. As everyone told you in that post, I just want to reiterate that is a bad, BAD idea that will lead to lots of hurt feelings.
