My fiance and i are hoping to have an engagement party in the next couple months. any money saving or just basic tips would be super helpful! we really aren’t sure if we are going to rent out a hall, hold it at home or just rent out a restaurant. so we are open to any suggestions!

I had mine in a private room in a trendy bar/restaurant. I wanted to have full service so drinks and food, so I wouldn’t have to worry about anything myself. We had 50 people and 3 dedicated staff, service was great. I was still too busy to eat anything that night! We had open bar but selected the drinks we wanted to serve prior. It was awesome not having to do any set up/serving/cleaning and I recommend it rather than doing it at home or a hall, because people just grab you every second for photos/hugs/chats, it was like a whirlwind!

I just had mine! It was a backyard BBQ for 35 people. Yes, time was spent setting up, buying food, and cleaning up but it was casual, affordable and everyone had a blast! It had cost us under $200.
