teamroro :  Some of these are beautiful and the “out takes” are cute. I am OBSESSED with your coat!

I think that 2nd shot looks great.

I agree, while the photos are beautiful, maybe you would be happier with someone who is more your “style”.

If you’re looking for a moody and dramatic style you should look into the photographers who contribute to Wedventure Magazine. Most of them seem to fit that description.

okay these photos are amazing! seriously more than half of my engagement photos my face looks ridiculous, squinty eyes, hair blowing, double chinning.. but at the end of it all I only printed a handful of the good ones to actually put on my wall, etc. and to keep and show people. It’s not the photographers fault i’m not photogenic and akward lol She captured the background in your photos so amazing, with the lighting and all.. I don’t see anything bad about a single one! We are so critical of ourselves!

I think they’re very cute but I totally agree that it’s a red flag that the photos she liked best were the ones you thought were ridiculous. I also would have expected those to be “cute outtakes” rather than top priority.

Dont beat yourself up over posture, posing, stiffness, etc. Part of the photographer’s job in this type of shoot is to get the couple to loosen up and look their best in the photos, so you should expect that when you hire your next photographer.
