I like the first dress! I wore a long backless dress for our shoot in October. We like to dress up and don’t have a lot of opportunities to do it. These photos probably show off my dress the best.

We made our photo session in the cafe with a modern and colorful interior design. Our photographer suggested that place and both of us were wearing elegant, classy outfits black and red colors. It was raher unusual for us.

just bought this dress – it’s super cute on, but i’m worried that maybe the print is too much for pics? i dunno – it seems that all the pics i see are in solid colors. Fiance just suggest i email our photographer to ease my mind, but i just don’t want to seem super needy…ugh. also planning on donig a more casual outfit too (skinny jeans, cute top, booties)

anyway, i think your dresses are cute!

We kept it very casual. We wanted to look like ourselves. Plus, we are having a very casual wedding in our outdoor setting. We wanted our photos to stick with that tone. I would have loved to do a casual dress if it weren’t so cold that day.

We did one casual outfit and one nicer outfit.

I don’t have a picture on here that shows the full outfit, but I was wearing black jeans and boots with this top.

Then I wore a simple dress. I’m usually plain jane and I’m so glad I went with a colorful dress!

lelly7:  I like them both actually.  Just be comfortable and confident in your choices and try not to be matchy matchy is the advice that the Bees gave me when I asked!

OP, here’s what I ended up with:Stamp_2

(sorry, the only picture I had on this computer is what my custom stamps look like, haha)

I like your second choice! They are both pretty.

I wore a tulle skirt and a sparkly top.

ilovesophia:  I used to work for a wedding/engagement photographer. No, typically you don’t want to wear loud prints. Only solids and long sleeves. Because your eye will automatically go to the print when you look at the picture rather than seeing the overall photo. You’ll just see print. Also, it will remain fairly timeless for the next 50 years. (think of all the crazy prints from the 70s) Like this dress is cute now, but 5 years from now you might go ugh, can’t believe I wore that big print. Muted prints like the gentleman in the photo before your post (green and black, I believe) is generally okay. And see the couple with the horses behind them? No print. That will look timeless forevah!

ilovesophia:  I think prints are fine! I’ve read a lot about  solid colors drawing more attention to your face but i’ve also seen a lot of people wear prints and they’re super cute. If your shoot location is more neutral (park/beach etc) then patterns are awesome to add some color and dimension.

CinqueTerre:  Thanks! My mom keeps telling me its tacky, so it’s nice to hear that! Also your outfit is super chic! I LOVE the shape of the top!

Love the posts guys! While I didn’t save my of my mirror-selfies (sorry!), I did get the photos done and they came out amazing. Due to my profession, however, I do not post my pictures on the internet.

I wore this, though:

With these shoes:

FH matched my blue in a dress shirt and wore grey slacks and a grey vest. We took our pictures on the beach and on a boardwalk. They were gorgeous.

I like your first dress!
It was fall when we did ours, and it was kind of chilly! We wore outfits that complemented each other, and were kind of semi-dressy but still similar to what we’d normally wear. I had the scarf on for part of the time, and off for part of the time for variety, and based on whether I was feeling warm or cold (but I kind of prefer the photos where it’s on!)
This isn’t one of my fave photos but you can see our outfits really well ๐Ÿ™‚

We kept ours clean, simple and classic because that’s our style. I say go for whatever is going to make you feel the prettiest and the easiest to move around in! ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿผ
