@seevan07:  wine glasses to toast each other while sitting on the blanket? A frisbee to throw back and forth if you two are sporty?  Do you have any hobbies that you could incorporate (Flowers if you are a gardener, books to ‘read’ if you are readers?)

If he’s wearing turquoise, I’d wear something in the blue family so you coordinate (but not match!) if you feel more comfortable wearing black, maybe wear a blue tank top or shirt with a black jacket, cardigan, or sweater?

I only tell people to avoid white because I have my couples sit and lean all over everything.  If you visit our website and type in “guide” in the search box our fall engagement style guide will pop up.  One thing I really recommend is to avoid stripes if either of you is bigger.

We’re also doing ours on Oct. 13th. I’m still back and forth with the outfit but I did read something that said not to wear some color you hate or don’t feel good in just because it photographs well. So far I have us both in jean and me in a dark blue top with sequins. Not sure about his top or my shoes yet. We also have a banner with our date and hearts that I purchased from etsy and I want the big round balloons. Working on that. Look through the engagement pics on the bee. I’ve seen so many great ideas on here alone. Also I picked up little chalkboard speech bubbles that we can write something in. Figured I could also use them at the wedding in the photobooth. Post pics!!

I think you’re color combo sounds lovey as long as his turquoise is a fall color turquoise rather than a summery turqouise. Also I had three engagement sessions, I was using them to try out wedding photgraphers and I’m rather picky. After the first one I quickly learned a bit more dressy made me much happier so I would go with the skinnies and boots or even a dress if you are comfortable in them.

Fiance and I wore white and black for both of our sessions LOL!  I haven’t heard that rule, but I didn’t think they turned out too bad:

Yes, pops of color are great, we also used a blanket for some of our pics, sitting on us, wrapped around us, etc.

P.S. Cute kitty he looks just like mine 🙂
