Grand Central? It may be busy (don’t go at rush hour) but it’s very classic.

I’m not sure if you can take pictures there, but the Met and the Museum of Natural History would have great spaces for unique photos.

@hermitcrab: I second Grand Central Station.

You could also go out to the Bronx or Brooklyn to the botanical gardens and maybe take photos in the greenhouses there. It’d be cold getting there, but they have some cool tropical greenhouses.

I personally love Central Park and Brooklyn Bridge pics, but it is going to be SO cold up here this weekend.

Grand Central would be beautiful

Any of the museums (but check – they might not let you take photos) but if they do I recommend The Met, The Museum of Natural History

South St Seaport, it’s outside but you can always run inside the mall to warm up

Magnolia Bakery on the UWS (cupcakes make good props lol)

The Cloisters, it’s a beautiful museum (part of the Met), all the way uptown. Plenty of indoor/outdoor areas.

The World Financial Center/Winter Garden. They have a beautiful lobby with lots of light and palm trees.

FAO Shwartz could make for some cute photos

The Plaza hotel

Brrrggghhh!! NYC in winter looks beautiful in photos but damn it, it’s cold as heck out there. I love the Brooklyn Bridge but nighttime so you can capture the lights. If you do decide to go to Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, it’s free before noon on Saturday and all day Tuesday. The MET and Natural History are suggested donations too 🙂 I loved The Cloisters but it’s so far up Manhattan. I also love the front of the library on 40th. The research library that has the big stone lions.

Grand Central is AMAZING!  We did our wedding day photos there.  You need a permit and get scheduled for only an hour.  It’s free, but PM me if you need more info.  Or wait…am I too late??
