My mother seems to think engagement photos are an unnecessary expense but I really love the concept of engagement photos. Yesterday, my fiance and I had our engagement photo session. An old friend of mine, who has a photography company (woodnote photography) did our engagement photo session in a park in Milwaukee. It was a beautiful day, although, a little chilly. It was akward at first because I didn’t want the photos to look posed but I was very aware that we were having our photo taken and we were being watched by all the passerbys. So, at first it felt a little forced and cheesey but by the end I was much more relaxed. I’m really excited to see how they turn out!
I plan to use the engagement photos for our save-the-date cards. I found these really awesome save the date cards on clearance at Michael’s for $0.99! They fit perfectly with my wedding colors. All I have to do is print on the card and insert that and then insert the photo. I know I’ll end up having to pay extra postage but I felt it would still be cheaper than getting special postcards or such made by a printer since it came with 10 for only $0.99. How can you beat that?
I’m trying to think of other fun ideas to do at the wedding with engagement photos. I like the whole picture frame guest book idea. I don’t think I want to do a slide show. The wedding will be outside under a tent and I don’t really want to rent a projector and everything. Anyone have an ideas?
