I’d just call and ask 🙂 Tell her some key photos seem to be missing, and ask if the ones she got aren’t usable if she would do a quick reshoot and get the missing shots 🙂

I don’t know about anyone else, but I found this weird…

I got every single picture my photography took on our disk.  You paid for the pics, shouldn’t you get them?

How many images did you get and how long the session?

A photographer is not going to give you any bad work.  The question is were the pictures even taken?  You should have a feel for what the photographer covered during the session, poses, etc.  Or…..did he take the pictures but just not include them.  If he didn’t include them it could be for a few reasons.

1.  He limits it to X photos and selected the best

2.  The photos were not of good quality, missed exposure, missed focus, etc basically throw aways.

Are you using a well known pro?

I’d call an speak with the photographer.   Maybe he can sub a few not on the disc for ones on the disk?  Can’t hurt by asking.  Is this photog doing your wedding also?  It may be a good time to talk about some wedding ideas too, make a list of the photos you want.

You should totally ask for them!  You paid for them, unless they are really bad shots!

@soon2bhis: How many pictures did you get? Chances are you didn’t get every.single.picture, when I shoot for an hour I can get something like 300 pictures or more, and many look the same, so I pick through and come up with anywhere from 40-100 suitable pictures, and the client isn’t the wiser 🙂

@soon2bhis: Yes, I find this weird too actually. I keep seeing this around the boards. My photographer gave us ALL of our photos on 3 discs which was around 2700 photos.

We were only given about 30 pictures from our engagement photo session and I called the photographer company and asked to have all the pictures. What the photographer likes best and what I like best are going to be different! In addition, I dont care if I receive an image that hasnt been retouched – Ill do it myself!
