We recieved our photos from our engagement photo session back to view as a slideshow. We have 2 weeks to choose our order. In our wedding package it said “complimentary engagement session” We are disapointed that the prices for the photos are on the high side or more than what we were expecting. To get 5 digital images on a CD it is 250. To get all of the images it is 500. We are supposed to get 1 free image to use for paper or whatever we choose. Prints seemed slightly high as well. I’m not sure how this compares to others experience and was just looking for opinons on the matter? Would you order all the images on a CD or just order a print or 2 and your 1 free image from the photographer?

Wow! I’m sorry that costs of prints are so expensive (and more than you and your partner were expecting to pay). Did your contract mention anything about a printing release? If your package includes a printing release, you’re legally allowed to print your photos through a printer of your choice. If not, then unfortunately you are bound to order through the photographer.
I’m also surprised to see such a high price for digital copies of the images. Is there an option that allows you to download the images directly to your computer?
Good luck with all of this!

Yikes! We just received all of our photos via email to print/post as we wished!

Was all this covered in your contract? Your photographer should have gone through it line-by-line with you. I’m sorry you’ve gotten a nasty surprise.
We ordered a few prints (can’t remember how much they were but not remotely what you’re faced with), requested a few of the files for invitation/website usage, and got all the digital files on USB when we got our wedding shots.
