I would try to look how you normally do.  If you don’t wear a lot of makeup, then don’t go crazy with the makeup.  We wore jeans for ours because it was cold outside.

My best tips:

Have a drink beforehand to feel a little bit loose.  Have a few outfits in mind bc the weather could make you wear one over the other. (This happened to us.  I wanted to wear a dress, but it was drizzly and wet out so I wore jeans instead).  Do one wardrobe change (we only had the one outfit and I wish we had another one for variety.   Wear eye makeup a little bolder/darker than normal.  It seems to photograph better.  Do your hair as you normally would.  Wear bright, or rich saturated colors.  I think the worst colors are tan/taupe, brown, and light pastels.  Don’t both wear the same color, especially white or black, or you’ll look like a big blob together!  Wear fun accessories.

I think that’s it!!  Have fun!!

Try to look as much like you as possible – don’t go overboard with makeup or crazy clothes – you want to be COMFORTABLE! That being said, you should do your makeup a little bit heavier than normal or else it won’t show up in photographs. Outside is a great place for photos because natural light looks the best in photographs. And I’d say that you should try to coordinate your outfits, but you don’t want to be completely matching – just make sure you don’t look ridiculous together!

Most importantly: HAVE FUN! Try to relax and just enjoy yourself 🙂

Engagement pics were really fun.

I would suggest to change outfits at least once.  For the first picture I wore a long sleeve v-neck and jeans with rainbow sandles.  My FH wore a white shirt and jeans.

For the second half I wore a long sleeve grey sweater with a deep scooping neck with jeans and very tall black heels. FH wore a white dress shirt with jeans and nice shoes.

Just stay away from prints on the fabric.  It looks bad.

I got my hair cut the day of the pictures so my hair dresser did my hair.  I did do my makeup heavier than normal!

Have fun!

Just be sure to wear your makeup a little darker than normal and make sure that you have on powder or your face will shine!  Also, when taking the pics, try to put all of your weight on your back foot. People photograph better like that!

you’re going to have so much fun!  Like MissAB said, dress like you normally do.  I would recommend doing a clothing change, since you want to wear a dress or skirt do that but then do another one that is more like you said laid back.  have fun!

Make sure your make-up and/or moisturizer doesn’t have SPF in it, otherwise your face will come off really pale and white in the pictures!

BrianneG- Where are you doing your photos? We’re doing ours in OC in three weeks and I can’t pick a place or outfit. The thought of going out in a dress in this weather is killing me, but I don’t want be in a parka either!
